When I did this piece, I wanted to do something that had an ancient look to it, along with depth. In this painting, I wanted to show someone from the Old Testament days calling out to God resulting in a Christophany of the preincarnate Christ in the background which is unseen to gentleman in prayer. Conveying the fact that the Lord hears the prayers of His children, and that He is closer to us than we think. I almost forgot this one.
